What to expect on meeting your psychologist

Initial few meetings

On contacting us you will be offered an appointment to meet with a psychologist online or face to face which will allow you the opportunity to determine whether psychological input would be beneficial for you.  If so, the psychologist will listen to what's happened to you and work hand in hand with you to understand how your symptoms have developed and how they are maintained at the moment before working with you to develop a bespoke treatment plan specific to your needs.

How often would we meet?

For individual sessions we would aim to meet on a fortnightly basis for 50 minutes over zoom or face to face depending on your preference.

How many sessions would I need?

There is no one size fits all so the number of sessions you may need may differ from the amount of sessions someone else may need but we would aim to keep reviewing regularly and you can stop your sessions at any time although we would recommend that you complete your treatment plan to get the most from your input.
